About Us

The Human Rights (HRNCC) is collective of Professionals and social activists dedicated to the use of the legal system to advance human rights, struggle against violations, and ensure access to justice for all. A non-profit, non-governmental organization, HRNCC started out in 2009. Our work has directly impacted millions of people across the country and has fundamentally influenced the legal discourse on human rights in India and the sub-continent. We were involved with the civil liberties movement earlier, as a response to the growing insensitivity to the rule of law. The founders reconed that to address this need for building a responsible civil society would be through a process of Non violence, sensitization and intervention.

The vision is to create a society free from fear, where the rights of the last and the least will be respected without any kind of bias. Towards this end, HRNCC hopes ‘Live life without any fear by adopting a proactive stance on the restoration of rights and by advocating a rights-based value system.

Though rooted in the classical concepts of civil liberties and political liberties, HRNCC believes that the domain of Human Rights extends to all realms of society and thus embraces social, cultural, economic civil and political rights. Thus, we consciously take a pro-poor, gender-sensitive and pro-child stance.
